What You'll Need

  1. LocBoxPro Thermostat Cover
  2. Drill (optional)
  3. Screwdriver
  4. Marker or pencil
  5. Measuring tape or ruler

Installation Steps

1. Choose the Location:
Identify the thermostat's location ensuring it's comfortably accessible yet protected from accidental bumps or tampering.

2. Align the LocBoxPro Cover:
Place the LocBoxPro cover over your thermostat, ensuring that the thermostat display and controls are clearly visible and accessible through the cover window.

3. Mark Drill Points:
Using a marker or pencil, mark the points where screws will be placed. There should be pre-defined holes in the cover to guide you.

4. (Optional) Pre-Drill Holes:
If your wall requires it (e.g., hard surfaces), pre-drill the holes using an appropriate sized drill bit.

5. Mount the Cover:
Align the holes in the LocBoxPro cover with the marks (or pre-drilled holes) on the wall. Use the provided screws to secure the cover in place using the screwdriver.

6. Set the Combination Lock:

  • Rotate the combination wheels to your desired code.
  • Press down the reset button (usually found inside or at the bottom of the lock).
  • While pressing the reset button, set your unique combination.
  • Release the reset button. Test the combination to ensure it's set correctly.

7. Key Lock (if applicable):
If your model comes with a key lock, ensure that it's functional by locking and unlocking it a few times. Safely store the keys in a location that's easily accessible to authorized personnel.

Maintenance and Safety

  1. Cleaning: Clean the cover using a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or chemicals.
  2. Resetting the Combination: Should you need to change the combination, repeat Step 6.
  3. Lost Key: If you misplace your key, contact LocBoxPro's customer service for assistance.
